Ruth #15, Meeteetse
February 11,1905 - June 1912

Ruth Chapter No. 15, Meeteetse, was granted a charter by the Grand Chapter of Wyoming on February 11, 1905. Meetings were held in the Meeteetse Activity Hall, a building which was erected in 1900. The materials for this building were hauled in from Red Lodge, Montana, by teams and wagons. This hall was later purchased by the Masonic Lodge and was used by the Lodge and the Eastern Star Chapter.
Sister Emma P. Bowman had the honor of serving the Grand Chapter of Wyoming as Grand Ruth in 1909, and Grand Warder in 1910.Due to a decrease in eligible members to carry on the work, Ruth Chapter had no Official Grand Visits in 1910 or 1911. Their charter was supposed to be returned to the Grand Chapter in June 1912, but because it was misplaced or destroyed by mistake, it was never returned. Ruth Chapter No. 15 remains a dormant chapter in the Wyoming Jurisdiction.
Ruth Chapter No. 15 was the first chapter in Wyoming to be dissolved for lack of membership.
